Edward Barenborg, Director of Legislative Affairs

Edward Barenborg had a three and a half decade career in executive financial positions. He worked in a wide variety of industries including oilfield services, hospitality, general aviation, importing and distribution, and lastly spent over a decade as the CFO of a vertically integrated citrus company.  Through most of this time he was also a shareholder and controller of a multi-unit restaurant company in Houston, Texas.

In 2015 Edward semi-retired, but he remained active in the private sector consulting small companies on financial and IT issues, and also taught college accounting.  He served as treasurer for a candidate for the Florida House of Representatives in 2016.  When she won she asked Edward to come out of semi-retirement and serve as her Legislative Aide, which he did for six years.

Edward’s unique combination of private sector experience and his six years in the legislative process enables him to provide support to the Anfield Team and assure that their clients are well served.

Edward graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management and Babson College with an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance.  He has been married to his wife Teri for 39 years.  They have three grown children and two grandchildren.
